If you are unsure of what to do in a gym environment or not sure where to begin, here are some tips to get you started;
Find a plan. Use youtube for inspiration or even my Youtube videos to get you motivated. Find some plans or a routine that you enjoy. Stick to it by making it a priority in your week.
Ensure you are hitting upper body and lower body during the week so you are getting an all round workout. If you have a specific focus, e.g.growing your glutes, you can focus on Macros and ensure you have targeted days. It is just as important to train other areas of the body to reduce imbalances and injury.
Technique is key for injury prevention.Remember, those who work in a gym are there to help you so don't be afraid to ask.If you're doing home workouts, try to follow a follow-along routine. If your workout doesn't feel right, chances are your form is off. Injury prevention is key so it's best to stop and re-evaluate.
Use My FitnessPal or find a weekly nutrition plan which is balanced and stick to that. Depending on your own fitness goals, either track your calories or track your protein intake throughout the week depending on your pounds/bodyweight.
Remember, consistency is key and making workouts a priority in your week is a must if you want to succeed.
